About 95 percent of Sri Lankan endemic birds and more than 50 percent of endemic mammals are known to have their habitats in this Forest Reserve. 

Year-round, the forest is covered by plenty of rain clouds. It is one of the famous places to visit in Galle. You can experience the leisurely pace of wildlife and the splendor of dense and copious evergreen rainforests.

Dehiwala Zoo

Dehiwala Zoo or the National Zoological Gardens of Sri Lanka was set up during 1936 with the sole ambition of providing ultimate protection to a wide range of wild animals and birds.

When you are here, do not miss the impressive performances from elephants, chimpanzees, and sea lions. It is one of the most amazing places to visit in Sri Lanka.

Gangaramaya Temple

Gangaramaya Temple is not only one of the most beautiful but also one of the most iconic Buddhist temples in Sri Lanka. It is more than a century since this temple was constructed; however even today, the temple doesn’t stop to surprise tourists and devotees and is, therefore, one of the best tourist places in Colombo.

Ceylon Tea Museum

Located at Hantane, the 1925 vintage Ceylon Tea Museum is one of the important attractions of the hill country, Kandy in Sri Lanka. The Tea Museum is a building of four floors wherefrom the ground floor to the second floor it’s all old machinery, a library, and an auditorium.

For purchasing lip-smacking variety and flavors of Sri Lankan tea, one must visit the third floor which is the sales unit. The fourth floor comprises of a magnificent restaurant where one can enjoy a free cup and the captivating and breathtaking surrounding view of the hill country from the top.

Attidiya Bird Sanctuary

This is probably the only place in Colombo that provides shelter to at least 50 different species of birds (both local and migratory). 

A large number of water monitors, butterflies, insects, and other birds tend to catch your attention as you walk through the muddy paths of the sanctuary. The biodiversity of this place is highly commendable, as you cannot help but feel awe-struck at the diverse species of birds here. As the place is replete with mosquitoes, you need to be fully covered while visiting the park.

International Buddhist Museum

Located close to the Temple of the Tooth, inside the royal palace complex, The International Buddhist Museum is a complete knowledge base and a showcase of the spread of Buddhism throughout Asia. It is one of the famous religious places to visit in Sri Lanka.

There are separate rooms dedicated to different countries illustrating Buddhism in that location. There are photographs, models, and gigantic statues that portray the spread and influence of Buddhism on people in various places.

Bambarakanda Falls

With a sheer drop of the waterfall from a height of 263 meters, Bambarakanda Falls is one of the highest waterfalls in Sri Lanka. St Anthony's Church

St. Anthony’s Church is one of the most-visited places in the Srilanka. The church was constructed as a very small mud structure many years ago and it was made bigger during 1806.

Royal Palace of Kandy

The Royal Palace of the Kandyan Kingdom is the last reminiscence of the reigning King of Kandayan, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe. The palace dates back to the 14th century, yet witnessing the glory and glamour of the kingdom is stupendous. The Palace has seen scars from many wars and tremors of foreign invaders like the Portuguese.

The Royal court, another architectural capture has confronted many meetings formed by the king and it is here that the end of the Kandyan Kingdom convention was signed.

Udawattekele Sanctuary

The Udawattekele Sanctuary, also known as Royal Park Palace is located at the hilly terrains of the Temple of Tooth Relic. The sanctuary scatters around 257 acres and is deemed as the most important Bio Reserve of the country.

The sanctuary, centuries back was a kingdom named Kandyan, and the jungle area on the far side of the palace was known as the Uda Wasala Watta or the upper palace garden; hence the name.

Mahiyanganaya Sorabora Lake

Lush greenery, tropical climate, and wilderness camping is the key essence of visiting Mahiyanganaya Sorabora Lake. This is a manmade lake believed to be constructed by King Dutugemunu's betel supplier named Bulata. Counted as one of the most incredible places to visit in Sri Lanka.

Viharamahadevi Park, Colombo

Must Maintain In Tour

  • Carry your belongings, like Passport Copy & Foreign Currency with you all the time
  • After check-in – original passport you can keep in the locker of the Hotel room or keep inside your luggage under lock & key or you can carry it with you (but on your own responsibility)
  • Maintain the transfers pick times, if you missed out no refund/reimbursement is possible, you need to reach the Tour Stop / Destination on your own and need to report to the local operation representative to confirm the return pick-up
  • On arrival, you will get a packet with all the original vouchers & entry tickets for your tour (maybe in ticket form / in voucher format – need to redeem at the counter). Please check all very carefully, if not anything missed out. If so, please report it immediately.
  • In-Room, if you use any product from min freeze, all will be chargeable and need to pay to the hotel directly.
  • At the time of check out if the hotel charges for any damage that needs to settle across. In some peak season, some of the hotels charge a security deposit for this reason, that you need to pay, but rest assured the same will be refunded at the time of Check out without delay if there is no harm.

In the event of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s, we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows:

60 days before arrival: 10% of the Tour/service cost
45 days before arrival: 20% of the Tour/service cost
15 days before arrival: 25% of the Tour/service cost
10 days before arrival: 50% of the Tour/service cost

07 days before arrival: Non Refundable

NOTE: In the case of Special Trains Journeys and peak season hotel bookings a separate cancellation policy is applicable (which can be advised as and when required).


Refund for hotel payment will follow the hotel’s cancellation policy
Train tickets cancellations will follow the Railway’s policy
Flight tickets cancellations will follow the airline's company policy

In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited amount only which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers/ contractors we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation & missed meals, etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.


  1. Please note that after the finalization of the Tour/ service Cost, if there are any Hike in entrance fees of monuments/museums, Taxes, fuel cost, or guide charges – the same would be charged as extra.
  2. As per the Government directive, you are requested to produce your photo identity document such as Driving License/Voter ID Card/Passport/Ration Card at the point of check-in at the hotel. We appreciate your cooperation.
  3. In case of the non-availability of requested hotels/hotels, we will provide accommodation in a similar category of hotel/hotels.
  4. If there is any unavoidable incident occur during the tour, Travotic will not be labile for any responsibility
  5. There will be no refund for any No Show / Unutilized services.
  6. The itinerary may be modifying based on various factors like maintenance of monuments/museums/major like spots conventions, religious festivals, etc.
  7. Itinerary timings on the tour are approximate and may be subject to change.
  8. Transfers and sightseeing on a SIC basis mean transport through a comfortable coach/bus/van depending on the total number of passengers traveling with you on that same tour. Please note that Travotic Holidays will be putting together all the passengers arriving around the same time and dropping them at their respective hotels. You may talk to our holiday experts about private transfers/ transport facilities, which will be made available at an additional cost.
  9. The customer needs to avail of the SIC from the scheduled pick-up point at the scheduled time. Travotic Holidays are not responsible if the pick-up is missed due to the customer’s delay.
  10. All personal extras such as laundry, room service, alcohol, minibar, telephone bills, pre-paid or post-paid SIM cards, etc. will be on a direct payment basis by the traveler to the service provider & Travotic Holidays will not be liable for the same at any point of time.

Payment Details

For all the services contracted, a 25% advance payment should be made to hold the booking, on a confirmed basis & for flight ticket booking need full actual fare. The balance amounts need to be paid 10days before the commencement of the services. Management personnel holds the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as advance payment, based on the nature of the service & the time left for the commencement of the service.

Apart from the above in some cases like Special Train Journeys, hotels, or resorts bookings during the peak season (like X-Mas, New Year, Puja, Diwali), a 50% advance payment should be made to hold the booking and 20days before full payment is required to be paid.
